Been working with POWNCE and I have to say I like Jaiku MUCH more better. This pace and approach suits me. I see MANY applications.

I agree. i just joined Pownce and although there are different features to Pownce than at Twitter or Jaiku, for a sense of human-connectedness, Jaiku/Twitter seem better.

I do not get pownce at all. Why I am I getting emails with links and no details? Since joining I've been ignoring the notifications I get.

Pownce is somewhere between Twitter and Jaiku in its feature set, but ultimately, I think it comes down to the community. You'll hang where your friends hang.

So, we need more people (like Leo) with lots of friends to join. Easy! :)

only had a brief look so far, but its additional features (files, events, msg groups) are well covered by what i currently use, i.e. facebook,IM, mail, irc.

atma: idea is to get you to their site, f'book does the same with its notifies. mayhaps better to use their client instead of mail/web interface.

There are things about Pownce I like.

The idea of sets is great! Finally able to place relationships into my own categories.

But in the end it will be the ebb and flow of the tide of us early adopters that will rule the day. And the vote is still out. Now if someone puts the best of Jaiku and Pownce together then we might have an easy winner.

I like the ability to send files and events on Pownce, that's a definite step forward - that, and the user/friend sets.

I'm enjoying the reactions of the folks who were stuck at twitter, ignored Jaiku, and then pownced. All of a sudden, for them, the 'reply' feature is the best thing since sliced bread, bless 'em!

very true. I have a friend that has gone back to Twitter 'cause that's where most of his contacts are hanging out.
